FAQs

Residential Moving Questions

Straight answers to the questions customers ask most.

Do you move apartments as well as houses?

Yes. We move apartments, condos, townhomes and single-family homes. When you request a quote, tell us about elevators, stairs or building rules at either address so we can plan for them.

Will you protect my floors and stairs?

Yes. We use floor runners, cardboard and moving pads to protect floors, stairways and banisters in the areas we work in.

Do I need to empty my dressers and drawers?

Remove anything fragile, heavy, valuable or that could leak. Light items such as folded clothing can often stay in sturdy dressers. We’ll let you know what works for your furniture.

Can you take apart and reassemble furniture?

Yes. Beds, tables and other large pieces that need to be taken apart can be reassembled at your new home.

How should I prepare for moving day?

Set aside essentials, important documents, medications and valuables to keep with you. Label boxes by room, defrost and clean your refrigerator if it’s moving, and reserve parking or elevators where needed.

Can I pack myself and leave the heavy lifting to you?

Yes. You can pack yourself and leave loading, transport and placement to us, or add packing for some or all rooms. See Packing & Unpacking.

Can you store my belongings between homes?

Yes. We operate our own warehouse, so your belongings can be stored until your new home is ready. Learn more about storage.
